Did you know we don't use tape measures at Bravissimo? Instead we fit by eye as knowing how a bra should look and feel is the best way to find your most comfortable fit - here's how…
How do you know if your bra fits right?
1
How should your band fit?
Most of the support comes from the underband. It should be horizontal around your body without riding up or digging in. We recommend fastening a new bra on its loosest hooks so that you can tighten it if it stretches over time.
2
Where should the underwire of a bra sit?
The underwires in your bra should sit flat on your ribcage (not your boob!) all the way round to your armpits. The wires between your boobs should lie flat against your chest without digging in, rubbing or poking out.
3
How should a bra cup fit?
Make sure your boobs are fully in the cups – a bit of a scoop, wiggle and jiggle usually does the trick! You should fill the cups without any bulging or wrinkling even in a lower-cut style and there should be a smooth line, with no ridge, where the top and the side of the fabric ends.

I ordered a size up on the band as per reviews but came nowhere near to fitting. I'm usually a 36FF Bravissimo. Returned for refund.

I have 2 of these now and I swear by them - I play women’s football 3 times a week so need something that is reliable and does it’s job! I love the double strap at the back too, it gives additional support!

Nothing wrong with the sports bras but I just couldn’t get the right sizing so I’m glint to the store.

It is the third time I buy the same model. I use a F cup size and run every day and I have never found a better sport bra.

This one came up a bit small I would have needed a 36. Also not very supportive. The most frustrating feature is the upper fastening no idea how you are supposed to put this on if you live alone. I cant do it up on my own. Disappointing for this brand as I've always used shock absorber bras

Great support and really comfortable, but so difficult do up. It is almost impossible to get my hands back and up enough to do up the top hooks. It’s badly designed and I wouldn’t buy another one with this type of fastening.

I ordered one size up in the back, as this was strongly recommended on the website and in reviews. In my case this meant that the band around my ribs was not tight enough and therefore the whole point was lost, of holding my boobs still while running.
Additionally I had not really focussed while ordering on whether the sports bra was wired or not. I focussed on the fact that this bra is 'maximum impact' and marketed as suitable for running, horse riding or the gym- it sounded suitable for running if you are a GG sized woman. In reality when I tried it on the lack of underwriting meant that basically the boobs are squashed to the chest, and also squashed together, with no shape and no definition. The feeling of my boobs being squashed together like that made me feel sweaty and uncomfortable - and that was just standing still!
I tried various tops on with the sports bra and this confirmed my bad feeling - I looked massive, barrel shaped and with the bra not feeling tight enough around the ribs I would not have attempted running in this bra. A sports bra may not be 'lingerie' and not the most sexy item ever.... but I still want to feel attractive in it.
