Did you know we don't use tape measures at Bravissimo? Instead we fit by eye as knowing how a bra should look and feel is the best way to find your most comfortable fit - here's how…
How do you know if your bra fits right?
1
How should your band fit?
Most of the support comes from the underband. It should be horizontal around your body without riding up or digging in. We recommend fastening a new bra on its loosest hooks so that you can tighten it if it stretches over time.
2
Where should the underwire of a bra sit?
The underwires in your bra should sit flat on your ribcage (not your boob!) all the way round to your armpits. The wires between your boobs should lie flat against your chest without digging in, rubbing or poking out.
3
How should a bra cup fit?
Make sure your boobs are fully in the cups – a bit of a scoop, wiggle and jiggle usually does the trick! You should fill the cups without any bulging or wrinkling even in a lower-cut style and there should be a smooth line, with no ridge, where the top and the side of the fabric ends.

I always get an Alana bra as an everyday bra. Good fit, feels secure but also comfortable.
Smaller in cup than Nude one!4 out of 5 stars

Bought this as Lola (my fave for a lifted shape!) isn't available in KK (32K is too small)
The Black Alana does come up smaller in the cup than the Nude - my Nude is 32K and fits well, this Black is 32K and is a bit small (have worn so can't return)
I always have hated the little loops around the edge and still do - possibly because I need a bigger cup, the back rides up a bit (but to make it really tight it pulls the wires further back under my armpits) and the front edge digs in. Also the straps are too far apart and slip down a bit (tightening them necessitates tightening the back too) but I have narrow shoulders (Jenna is my other option - comfy but doesn't give that Lola/Candy Bliss lift!)
In summary - go up a cup in the Black, but in Nude I'd suggest trying your usual cup size.

This is a really lovely bra but irritates me hugely across the back strap. Not sure if it’s the finish brade across the strap. I’ve never had this problem before 😕

I have been wearing this bra for along time but I have found recently that the straps keep slipping down a lot.

I wondered what was going to replace my beloved Layla bra when it was discontinued. Well, I just found it!
I’m usually quite fussy with bras, but I must say this is a great bra for the very well endowed - pretty, supportive, comfortable. Also true to size. What more can I say?
I will get another when it’s back in stock. Would also love it in dark brown tones or burgundy. Thank you.

Strangely, you say this comes up small, but for me it comes up much bigger than Lola - I have Lola in 32K and it's too small, but recent purchases of Alana in 32K are more generous (32JJ too small)
Now that the Candy-Bliss-3-piece-cup shape has been changed to fit more boob shapes (Penny, Annie) it no longer fits me so well (top cups are looser and lower cut? or less 'flat'?) but I do prefer it's material to Alana's.
Alana is the only bra now that gives me the ski-slope shape I like (for my bottom-heavy boobs) BUT I hate the looped embroidery around all the edges - a) it rubs and irritates, especially underneath, and b) it gets pulled out very quickly and looks tatty!
But I'm going to buy another in black as there's no other option (full-cups don't give the Candy Bliss shape and support)

Being the large end of the cup size, I don't have much choice. The Alana works fine with one big exception... it's never been comfortable. The material that sits against your ribs is so rough. I had hoped that after a few washes with fabric conditioner it would soften but it hasn't. And it leave my skin feeling raw and rubbed red by the end of the day. I'm always desperate to take it off.

This is my go to bra. I've been wearing it for years and have had scores of them in that time, in every colour. It fits nicely, gives great support and is comfortable! I try other bras for variety now and again, but most days you'll find me wearing an Alana. I think every Bravissimo woman should have at least one in her drawer.
