Did you know we don't use tape measures at Bravissimo? Instead we fit by eye as knowing how a bra should look and feel is the best way to find your most comfortable fit - here's how…
How do you know if your bra fits right?
1
How should your band fit?
Most of the support comes from the underband. It should be horizontal around your body without riding up or digging in. We recommend fastening a new bra on its loosest hooks so that you can tighten it if it stretches over time.
2
Where should the underwire of a bra sit?
The underwires in your bra should sit flat on your ribcage (not your boob!) all the way round to your armpits. The wires between your boobs should lie flat against your chest without digging in, rubbing or poking out.
3
How should a bra cup fit?
Make sure your boobs are fully in the cups – a bit of a scoop, wiggle and jiggle usually does the trick! You should fill the cups without any bulging or wrinkling even in a lower-cut style and there should be a smooth line, with no ridge, where the top and the side of the fabric ends.

I always buy Shock Absorber bras, as nothing else is as supportive when running. As there was money off I decided to give this new bra a try. Thank goodness I did. It will be my go to running bra from now on. Easy to put on, able to convert to racer back without contortions and utterly supportive and comfortable. Gives me a great shape too. Where has this been all my life?!

...no, not me, the bra! :)
When I unpacked it, it looked so light and thin I thought this will be too delicate as sports bra.
Trying it on, it was also extremely comfortable with wide shoulder straps, you could hardly tell you were wearing it.
However, once the racer back clips were clipped together it made a very secure bra, suitable for high impact. Without the clip it is ideal for low impact e.g. yoga, or even just wearing everyday. There were no unsightly ridges showing through, gave a good shape and it looks pretty on its own.
This is now my favourite sports bra, but I did had to fasten it on the tightest hooks, so next time I may go down a chest size and up a cup size. I normally wear a 32J but usually find sports bras a bit small in the back. I think a 30J would be perfect next time.
