Did you know we don't use tape measures at Bravissimo? Instead we fit by eye as knowing how a bra should look and feel is the best way to find your most comfortable fit - here's how…
How do you know if your bra fits right?
1
How should your band fit?
Most of the support comes from the underband. It should be horizontal around your body without riding up or digging in. We recommend fastening a new bra on its loosest hooks so that you can tighten it if it stretches over time.
2
Where should the underwire of a bra sit?
The underwires in your bra should sit flat on your ribcage (not your boob!) all the way round to your armpits. The wires between your boobs should lie flat against your chest without digging in, rubbing or poking out.
3
How should a bra cup fit?
Make sure your boobs are fully in the cups – a bit of a scoop, wiggle and jiggle usually does the trick! You should fill the cups without any bulging or wrinkling even in a lower-cut style and there should be a smooth line, with no ridge, where the top and the side of the fabric ends.

I'm really happy with this bra! After live chat advice I ordered my regular size, in spite of all the comments. Glad I did, it fits perfectly. And it gives incredible support yet it feels just like any other bra. Looks good under clothes, too. I'd love a choice of colours other than orange, lime, etc, but still... really happy!

There's not much I can say about this bra as I couldn't even get it on. I know sports bras are going to come up smaller so they are snug to hold everything but not this small! I ordered my usual back size of 38 and went up in the cup 2 sizes. I couldn't even get the back straps anywhere near each other, not even with an extender. On the plus side, I may have burnt some calories trying. I measured the bra against my existing bras and it was miles smaller. On measuring with a tape measure it was actually only 30" - 8" smaller than its alleged size. Judging by this I would need a back size of 46"! On the plus side, the bra felt well made and with good materials.

I bought this a while back and it is the first sports bra I have bought with wires. I am happy with the general support but as I am a 30FF I tend to only wear it for lower impact sports such as cycling or body pump because I still prefer the Shock Absorber for less bounce when I run.

Previously always used shock absorber but I decided to try a wired sports bra as I’m not keen on boobs being squished together in the non wired types as they get so sweaty. This provides excellent fit and support but I’m so self conscious as the boobs are pointy and look massive in sportswear (the shock absorber squished them in so I felt marginally more ordinary sized). I honestly feel like a 1950s stepford housewife wearing this bra which is not ideal and I’ll probably go back to a non wired compression bra after this which has similar levels of support without poking me in the eye on a downward dog

The fit of this bra was amazing. It spaces and holds fantastic. Could definitely use for high intensity exercises. The only reason I returned it was because the seams on the cups make terrible lines under clothes. I am not trying to draw attention to my boobs and many workout clothes are thinner making the lines worse. I just knew I wouldn’t want to wear it out of the house. I wish they could make this exact bra without the seams on the cups.

Love this bra and have worn it so much more during lockdown, it’s so comfy and has great support without feeling too much. Going to order in other colours and hopefully will motivate me to work out more!
You must go up a back size or two1 out of 5 stars

When I first saw this product I was so happy, a sports bra in an L cup! As said in many reviews for this product you absolutely have to go up a back size. Sadly bravissimo still do not cater to people with bigger back sizes as well as bigger cup sizes. So I am once again left with no options for a sports bra. Feeling a little disappointed and deflated this morning.

Review by Helen C on
Before buying I read the reviews &, as suggested, went up a band size (usually a 30KK/L, ordered a 32KK). I was glad I did as it’s VERY tight (have to get hubby to help me into it)! I think I would have done good to go up a cup size too, but in these times we’re living through I don’t want to be returning & re-ordering. This style definitely stops the jiggle which is amazing! However, like every Bravissimo own brand bra I’ve ever tried it gives a very odd shape making my boobs flatter & pointy on the edges level with my armpits rather than the more natural, upfront, rounded shape I prefer (eg Panache Jasmine). Please Bravissimo make a side sling support in smaller back sizes & bigger cups (the demand is there, we all just have to buy bras that aren’t quite right because the perfect ones stop at 32 bands & around a H cup). Still, to find a bra that’s sort-of in my size is VERY unusual so I can’t complain too much...
