Did you know we don't use tape measures at Bravissimo? Instead we fit by eye as knowing how a bra should look and feel is the best way to find your most comfortable fit - here's how…
How do you know if your bra fits right?
1
How should your band fit?
Most of the support comes from the underband. It should be horizontal around your body without riding up or digging in. We recommend fastening a new bra on its loosest hooks so that you can tighten it if it stretches over time.
2
Where should the underwire of a bra sit?
The underwires in your bra should sit flat on your ribcage (not your boob!) all the way round to your armpits. The wires between your boobs should lie flat against your chest without digging in, rubbing or poking out.
3
How should a bra cup fit?
Make sure your boobs are fully in the cups – a bit of a scoop, wiggle and jiggle usually does the trick! You should fill the cups without any bulging or wrinkling even in a lower-cut style and there should be a smooth line, with no ridge, where the top and the side of the fabric ends.

Takes ages to find a bra that actually fits the shape and fill of my boobs. This one is perfect! Bought a size up and the cup fits better if you have fuller boobs

I am normally so conscious of my boobs, and always buy a padded bra, I started to struggle to buy pretty bras in my size with padding, so I thought I’d give these a go! This was the best decision I made, it fits perfect, it’s comfy, and you cannot tell that I have one boob bigger than the other! It has such a smooth shape!

My first visit to Bravissimo store for a bra fitting. Was surprised to find they measured me as a 32FF! Chose this bra as felt comfortable in the store and loved the look but wore it for first time for the day a few days after purchase only to find the lacy strap under my arms rubbed me really sore so not 100% sure this was the correct size bra for me unfortunately!

This bra is super comfy and the fit was fantastic but unfortunately after about 4 wears the underwire poked through the middle. It's not a bad bra but I wish it would have held up better

I got fitted in the Guildford outlet on a whim as I noticed my other bras were looking too small (I was wearing a 32F). I was a bit shocked that my bra size has increased so much but it fits so nicely and gives me a waist again! I feel so much more confident wearing it and my boyfriend loves it too. I wouldn’t normally wear a white bra but the off white is very flattering and it means I can wear white shirts for my new job.

I usually find soft cup/unpadded bras extremely unflattering of my east-west, wide and shallow chest. So I was enticed when the shop assistant gave me the Millie to try. I had nothing to lose and I know that the beauty of buying in store is trying on new styles, even the ones you would completely overlook. I gave it a chance and I left with it. It was such a pleasant surprise, I've never expected a bra like this to make my modest breasts look so good!

This bra is very comfortable and it is also very pretty. I could fit into a 34H but I prefer a bit more room as my weight is up and down, therefore, I went for the 36H. It really is a great bra, the matching knickers really compliment it as a matching set. A confidence booster on those days when you need some sass.

I'll start by saying I majorly compromised on fit in order to own this bra, because it's lovely. In theory I'd need a 26K for proper fit of this bra. I bought a 28J, the right cup is too small but manageable due to stretch lace and I'm wearing the bra on its tightest hooks. For me this is a frustrating issue because while I've accepted that Bravissimo is never going to cater to a 26 band, it's endlessly frustrating that everything stops at a J cup in a 28 band.
The bra itself is mostly comfortable, I like to wear it with my deep V neck dresses because the centre gore is the lowest of all my bras. The underwire on the 28 band is much too wide (again a common problem with Bravissimo bras in a small band) I do not have breast tissue half way around my back, and yet for some reason the underwire goes all the way back, this does lead to some uncomfortable digging in after a day of wear. I've also found the straps are much too long - in order to have the straps tightened enough I have to have the slider sitting in my collar bone, which hurts, so I have to leave the straps too loose. I'll note that I'm 5ft5, so it's not like this is happening because I'm particularly short.
Despite all of these issues I still wear a Millie on most days, because I love the shape and it actually makes my boobs look a little smaller. It's a bit bouncier than my Lola, but the stretch lace is obviously going to do this.
