Did you know we don't use tape measures at Bravissimo? Instead we fit by eye as knowing how a bra should look and feel is the best way to find your most comfortable fit - here's how…
How do you know if your bra fits right?
1
How should your band fit?
Most of the support comes from the underband. It should be horizontal around your body without riding up or digging in. We recommend fastening a new bra on its loosest hooks so that you can tighten it if it stretches over time.
2
Where should the underwire of a bra sit?
The underwires in your bra should sit flat on your ribcage (not your boob!) all the way round to your armpits. The wires between your boobs should lie flat against your chest without digging in, rubbing or poking out.
3
How should a bra cup fit?
Make sure your boobs are fully in the cups – a bit of a scoop, wiggle and jiggle usually does the trick! You should fill the cups without any bulging or wrinkling even in a lower-cut style and there should be a smooth line, with no ridge, where the top and the side of the fabric ends.

I have not had breast surgery, but always looking for the holy grail of a comfortable bra to hold heavy breasts without making them look even larger. This bra is ok for everyday comfort but I would use an underwired bra if I want to look smart. Bra straps are usually placed too far apart and seem to be designed to immediately fall off your shoulders and not hold the weight of your breasts but this bra is quite good in that respect, so I bought a second one. Its quite soft. My main concern is that over time the soft lining which of course is designed with a gap to insert a prosthesis will gape, crease, or otherwise not stay in place and begin to irritate. I don’t want to sew up that gap in case the stitches start to irritate or weaken the fabric. Considering you wear a bra every day and every waking hour it is impossible to find perfection but these seem to have been a good buy. Also pleased to see good products for ladies who have had surgery.

Bile Duct Cancer has meant I am sensitive around the bra line. This bra suits my needs perfectly. Also a very nice sexy combo. Love it!

I bought this as the high underarm sides appealed. The bra is comfortable but I am not keen on the material and opening for my prosthetic. Cotton or something less gauzy would be more comfortable on my skin. The opening for inserting the prosthetic is too long and opens when wearing. I would buy again in a nude colour to wear under white.

Love this bra. Fits perfectly and has large inserts for my prosthetic. Would buy more if they came in a range of colours.

I am really pleased with my new bra. It fits very well is very pretty and accommodates my prosthesis comfortably. It’s such a pity that there are no other lacy styles or colours for ladies with post surgery needs.
I had my surgery 30yrs ago now and have found it extremely difficult during that time to find any sort of bra that still makes me feel feminine
There is definitely a market for this need and I am surprised that Bravissimo have not realised this.
I would be so pleased if you could pass on my concerns to those to whom it should concern.

I love this bra, it is excellent quality, soft against the skin but supportive. A fun bright colour and worlds away from other post surgery bras for anyone who is larger than a D cup. More colours please, I want one for everyday of the week
