Did you know we don't use tape measures at Bravissimo? Instead we fit by eye as knowing how a bra should look and feel is the best way to find your most comfortable fit - here's how…
How do you know if your bra fits right?
1
How should your band fit?
Most of the support comes from the underband. It should be horizontal around your body without riding up or digging in. We recommend fastening a new bra on its loosest hooks so that you can tighten it if it stretches over time.
2
Where should the underwire of a bra sit?
The underwires in your bra should sit flat on your ribcage (not your boob!) all the way round to your armpits. The wires between your boobs should lie flat against your chest without digging in, rubbing or poking out.
3
How should a bra cup fit?
Make sure your boobs are fully in the cups – a bit of a scoop, wiggle and jiggle usually does the trick! You should fill the cups without any bulging or wrinkling even in a lower-cut style and there should be a smooth line, with no ridge, where the top and the side of the fabric ends.

Love love love this bikini❤️❤️❤️ So supportive, comfortable and extremely flattering. Highly recommend it. I chose a 38H. I’m normally between a 36H and 38G. The pants are brilliant as they are adjustable. What’s not to love ❤️

I was given the Elomi Savaneta bikini to try in the Brighton shop when I went in to ask for their advice on new swimwear styles. I wasn’t expecting to be transformed, but when I tried on this set, compared with other styles, actually I was!
I still can hardly believe how glam I look in this lovely bikini set in soft satiny material with a sheen. The lining feels great on the skin and is comfortable. The bold tropical floral pink, green and white on black print really pops!
The sizing on this Elomi style seems to run slightly small, compared to Bravissimo bikini sizes, so I had to go up one back size and two cup sizes, to a 36H. On me, the wires on the 36GG top dug in at the sides, so I found that going up or down even one cup size can makes all the difference to comfort when wearing a bikini all day.
I find it important in a swimwear fitting to try as many sizes as you can, to get the best comfort and fit, because it really pays off. It’s quite different to a bra fitting.
Also, be prepared to change your expectations. I had this preconceived idea that fold-down bikini briefs looked better on me but it turns out that the high waist brief in this style was by far the best option.
The top has a slightly sportier, non-plunging cut, but once on it looks beautifully feminine. It does have padding, but it still gives a streamlined and sleek look without bulkiness. There are also adjustable strings in front, for more or less coverage as desired.
I haven’t tried this bikini in the water yet, but it feels strong, supportive and well made.
I would just like to say thank you to the staff in the Brighton Bravissimo shop for their help and advice, and for a great fitting experience.
Now I’m off to find a beach to pose on ...
