Did you know we don't use tape measures at Bravissimo? Instead we fit by eye as knowing how a bra should look and feel is the best way to find your most comfortable fit - here's how…
How do you know if your bra fits right?
1
How should your band fit?
Most of the support comes from the underband. It should be horizontal around your body without riding up or digging in. We recommend fastening a new bra on its loosest hooks so that you can tighten it if it stretches over time.
2
Where should the underwire of a bra sit?
The underwires in your bra should sit flat on your ribcage (not your boob!) all the way round to your armpits. The wires between your boobs should lie flat against your chest without digging in, rubbing or poking out.
3
How should a bra cup fit?
Make sure your boobs are fully in the cups – a bit of a scoop, wiggle and jiggle usually does the trick! You should fill the cups without any bulging or wrinkling even in a lower-cut style and there should be a smooth line, with no ridge, where the top and the side of the fabric ends.

Pretty, fits okay - however the wires go a long way back under the arms, which is sometimes uncomfortable.

This is my favourite bra and I'll be buying more. It's supportive, comfortable, and creates a natural silhouette without lines and wrinkles. It looks particularly good with v neck cuts that aren't really low.
I agree with the other reviewer who found the pink colour darker than the photo indicated - it's a true dusky pink and I really like it.

I loved the look of this bra online. But when I got it I noticed it had two layers. It didn't fit me well being a 28H with two different sized boobs.

Wait, what? This is a plunge bra? I didn't notice that when I took it off the racks in the Margaret St store. Didn't notice it was Freya either, which I'd previously avoided because they always seem to come out pointed 1950s-style. I did try the Freya Offbeat bra on a previous visit which fitted fine though I went with another style that time.
Anyway, this one seemed to fit ok. I was looking for a bra which fits like a Tango but without the bumpy embroidery which does show through a single t-shirt. Fine in winter when I'm layered up but not so for summer. I've tried, and previously loved, Lacey but just lately the Lacey bras I have seem to dig in at the sides and back but maybe I've put on weight. Tango is nice and comfortable as the sides are higher. Any other seam-free bras I have tried (Elomi Moulded, Panache Elan, Fantasie Rebecca etc) seem to push them out to the sides which I hate. Also there's always a surplus of material at the top of the cup, perhaps reflecting that when you get to a certain age, everything goes south, especially the boobs.
So this bra seems a happy medium. It does have a fairly smooth cup, there are seams but not so obvious as Fantasie's Illusion bras. There's this weird overlap of material like a pouch (maybe I can stash my mobile in there when I'm going out without a bag!), but the overlap hasn't caused any problems so far. At the end of the day, there was a tiny bit of wire digging in between the boobs but not enough to make me take it off. I wasn't popping out like I always am with any other plunge bra I've tried. A few more wears might make me decide if it's worth ordering more, but as there are no other colours available then maybe I won't. Either way, it's encouraged me to explore Freya styles (maybe the Offbeat bra).
