Leanne CahillCEO

In 3 words, how would your closest friends describe you?

I think they’d say confident, honest and funny. Let’s not ask them though, they like to think they’re funny too and who knows what they’ll come back with!

What do you do at Bravissimo?

Everyone at Bravissimo is ultimately here to inspire our customers to feel confident and amazing, we are the cheerleader for big boobed women! It’s such a fantastic reason to come to work every day. I’m our CEO, which means I get to lead this company and the amazing people that work with our customers to make it what it is. It’s a dream job and I absolutely love it.

What is the best thing about working at Bravissimo?

Lots of customers send in feedback every day, telling us the impact Bravissimo has had on them and how they feel, what they love about Bravissimo and what they would like us to change. I read every piece, it’s the best way to really understand how we’re doing and it’s a real highlight of my day.

If you could give advice to your younger self, what would it be?

Don’t be afraid to be different and stand out from the crowd, know what makes you unique and use it as a strength! Unfortunately, my younger self wouldn’t have listened to a word my 43-year-old self has to say(!), but she’ll find her own route there.

What quote or mantra do you live by?

Strong confidence and positivity take you a long way towards achieving anything. So, my mantra would be “Get your big girl pants on and set your ambitions – if anyone can do it, why not you?”

What is your party trick?

Not sure if we can class it as a party trick, but my best contribution to any party is to cook up some great food for everyone. And I don’t mean delicate, perfect little canapes. I’m thinking roast pork rolls with homemade stuffing and apple sauce, and a bit of crackling on the side. Just what you need after a few cocktails and a kitchen disco.

What’s the song that always uplifts you?

Frank Sinatra’s “The Best is Yet to Come”. My husband Jon chose it for the first dance at our wedding, so it represents a very happy memory as well as a positive, optimistic look forward.

What’s your favourite go-to bra?

So many to choose from, it depends which day you ask me... The Amber Lace is the latest new addition to my bra-drobe, it fits and supports me so well and gives a great shape, the sparkly gold thread adds a touch of luxury and makes it special, and it’s deliciously comfortable which is frankly the best bit – gorgeous. But if we judge by numbers, Satine is my favourite and hard to beat. I have it in duplicate in every colour!
