Did you know we don't use tape measures at Bravissimo? Instead we fit by eye as knowing how a bra should look and feel is the best way to find your most comfortable fit - here's how…
How do you know if your bra fits right?
1
How should your band fit?
Most of the support comes from the underband. It should be horizontal around your body without riding up or digging in. We recommend fastening a new bra on its loosest hooks so that you can tighten it if it stretches over time.
2
Where should the underwire of a bra sit?
The underwires in your bra should sit flat on your ribcage (not your boob!) all the way round to your armpits. The wires between your boobs should lie flat against your chest without digging in, rubbing or poking out.
3
How should a bra cup fit?
Make sure your boobs are fully in the cups – a bit of a scoop, wiggle and jiggle usually does the trick! You should fill the cups without any bulging or wrinkling even in a lower-cut style and there should be a smooth line, with no ridge, where the top and the side of the fabric ends.

I am normally a 40HH and only wear under wired bras. But I found this bra a great fit and supports me well. I had to go for a J cup but fits like a glove. Away to order another one.

This bra fits well. And is the only nursing bra available in a 36L. So it's a shame that it's lined with what seems like tulle. It's rough and uncomfortable, especially if you have sensitive nipples (like from the early stages of nursing). It's unfortunate, because I have four year old nursing bras from Royce that I'm forced to wear so that I don't have to put up with the discomfort this bra causes.

I wasn't expecting this to be a flattering bra, but I wasn't quite prepared for just how badly it would fit! So far this pregnancy I have had to size up to a 34kk in wired bras, which have been a bit roomy in the cups so I (wrongly) presumed I'd be safe ordering the same size for this nursing bra. I could not have been more wrong! I tried it on to find it seems at least 3 sizes too small in the cup, giving me that weird quad-boob shape but in an entirely strange space as this bra comes up VERY high on the chest. I've ordered the next size up and am hoping that is miraculously better, since nobody makes nursing bras bigger than a size L! I'm not holding out much hope though, especially since I could tell, even with the bra I tried on, that this is going to give an incredibly strange shape: pointy and droopy. I'm not expecting great things from a nursing bra, but this is a bit of a joke... I just don't have any other options!

This bra is quite frankly the ugliest thing I have ever bought and is not flattering. It produces a a weird sideways pointing shape and comes up so high it is visible under v or scooped neck tops. I have also noticed that the band often curls under and digs in towards the end of the day. Unfortunately I was left with no other options, having gone up 4 cup sizes! It was very nice to have decent separation and feel more comfortable but this bra does nothing to help fragile postnatal body confidence!

This is the largest sized nursing bra available, which left with no other option I had to go with. I was really disappointed that there weren't options in bigger cup sizes and also that you can only buy 40L in black not nude, further limiting options

Went to store and got measured for a nursing bra about 2 months after having a baby as I was fed up of mono boob and generally feeling frumpy. For a bra shop, supposedly for the larger busted lady, the choice was seriously poor for a 36J. This bra was the only one that they had, that fitted and gave some seperate boob shape, although somewhat weird and pointy.
My main problem with this bra, is that there is a seam that runs across the nipples inside and the mesh from the top part, runs right down through the cup and chafes my already sore nipples! That and the fact that I cant wear any v-neck tops without the top of the bra showing as it comes up so high.
It is the bra I wear when my favourite is in the wash, points for seperate boobies, but not the most comfortable.

This bra feels like it is trying to pull my breasts downwards and apart.
I have a naturally high sitting, full on top shape and always avoid full cup styles because they pinch the top of my breasts and do nothing for my shape.
Unfortunately no one has made a nursing bra that works in a balconette style by the looks of it and there is such little choice in a KK cup we have to take what we can get sometimes.
I'd honestly prefer an option that was wired. I find wired bras more comfortable, the structure at the sides is beneficial for my shape.
It's a shame that there are no options that work with the shape of my body.

Having enjoyed the comfort of Bravissimo soft cup bra during my pregnancy I was looking forward to breastfeeding being easy with their nursing bra.
While breastfeeding has been easy, it is not thanks to this bra. I have worn it about 5 times, with great reluctance. While the fit of the bra is good, hooking and unhooking the cup is also fine (but takes some practise), the greatest problem is the plastic strap length adjusters sit right on the shoulder. After wearing the bra for just a couple of hours I have very sore red marks on my shoulders where those little pieces of plastic cut in, and the area remains sore for days after.
Thanks to that I am sticking with my Bravissimo soft cup where the strap adjusters sit on my back, even though it makes breast feeding in public very tricky.
