Did you know we don't use tape measures at Bravissimo? Instead we fit by eye as knowing how a bra should look and feel is the best way to find your most comfortable fit - here's how…
How do you know if your bra fits right?
1
How should your band fit?
Most of the support comes from the underband. It should be horizontal around your body without riding up or digging in. We recommend fastening a new bra on its loosest hooks so that you can tighten it if it stretches over time.
2
Where should the underwire of a bra sit?
The underwires in your bra should sit flat on your ribcage (not your boob!) all the way round to your armpits. The wires between your boobs should lie flat against your chest without digging in, rubbing or poking out.
3
How should a bra cup fit?
Make sure your boobs are fully in the cups – a bit of a scoop, wiggle and jiggle usually does the trick! You should fill the cups without any bulging or wrinkling even in a lower-cut style and there should be a smooth line, with no ridge, where the top and the side of the fabric ends.

I decided to try a soft bra rather than my usual underwire for comfort reasons. Unfortunately, this was less comfortable than my usual bravissimo balconettes. The straps aren’t adjustable (which would normally be okay because it’s just a bralette) but they need to be a little bit longer because the lift this gives is at the expense of comfort. In terms of appearance, it’s a very bright lilac and I’d rather it was a softer shade.
As a side note, I’ve always been self conscious about my chest and this bralette made me feel really awful about myself because it has FOUR hooks on the back. :( I’m not really even sure why because the body version of this has the usual three hooks. It’s perhaps to do with the width of the back band but despite being wide, it was uncomfortable.

I actually returned this item - I could not get it over my shoulders comfortably, it was difficult to fasten, and flattened and constricted my boobs, and was generally very uncomfortable. I had chosen what I thought was my size, 40FF, but it was far too tight

I love the colour of this bra, however the straps are uncomfortable even though the fit of the bra is comfortable. I even used the comfortable pads on the shoulders to give me some support, but it was still uncomfortable. I had to send it back for another bralette.
Bravissimo are my absolute favourites when it comes to bras and I won’t shop anywhere else.
Well Done Bravissimo for your excellent choices of lingerie.

The straps need to be adjustable, it feels very uncomfortable and I can only wear it for a short time which is ironic because I bought it hoping it would be more comfortable than a conventional bra
