Did you know we don't use tape measures at Bravissimo? Instead we fit by eye as knowing how a bra should look and feel is the best way to find your most comfortable fit - here's how…
How do you know if your bra fits right?
1
How should your band fit?
Most of the support comes from the underband. It should be horizontal around your body without riding up or digging in. We recommend fastening a new bra on its loosest hooks so that you can tighten it if it stretches over time.
2
Where should the underwire of a bra sit?
The underwires in your bra should sit flat on your ribcage (not your boob!) all the way round to your armpits. The wires between your boobs should lie flat against your chest without digging in, rubbing or poking out.
3
How should a bra cup fit?
Make sure your boobs are fully in the cups – a bit of a scoop, wiggle and jiggle usually does the trick! You should fill the cups without any bulging or wrinkling even in a lower-cut style and there should be a smooth line, with no ridge, where the top and the side of the fabric ends.

I had high hopes for this bra but they were dashed.
I am 5ft 9in and a size 16.
I had to adjust the straps to the shortest level to get any support. The bra then actually lifted my ample bosom but flattened my boobs and pushed them out to the side and under my armpits.
The vertical seam was way off to the side and had puckers all the was down to the underbust band.
When I bent down the underbust band folded in half horizontally.
It will be going back.

I have tried a number of non-wired bars and this is definitely my favourite so far. Very comfortable and easy to wear and I didn;t want to take it off after an hour. Now if only it came in more colours!

I have tried so many non-wired bras but this one is hands down my favourite. Comfortable and easy to wear without wanting to take it off within the first hour. If only it also came in a lighter colour as well!

Holy moly- this is an extremely comfortable bra!
During lockdown I have gone “bra-less” a lot of the time as I haven’t been going out. I just couldn’t bear to revert back to wearing underwired bras, but having large cup sizes, I realise my girls need support!
So, I ordered the Nova Lounge bra.
Day 1 of wearing it today and oh! I love it! It’s not annoying me, it’s very comfortable and supportive. I won’t be rushing to whip it off this evening like I usually do.
It’s not a sexy bra, it’s not very attractive, but to be honest I don’t care!
Bravo bravissimo- please could you make it in other colours instead of just black? Thank you muchly :)

I have 34HH / 36H saggy boobs and I’ve been looking for a comfortable non-wired bra for years. I bought this in a 36H. The cup size is perfect, the crossover/wrap style is great for separation, and there’s a lot going for this bra.
Unfortunately for me, the rest was dreadful. The side wings are very narrow, meaning that if your boobs are wide set, they can spill out of the sides of the bra. If you are plus size, then the narrow side wings might be very uncomfortable and dig in, rather than actually provide support.
The cups also have no internal support, like a side sling, or additional seams (aside from the central seam).
The weight of my boobs was supported mostly by the straps, which is obviously very uncomfortable when you have large boobs! I considered going down a back size, but as the band is quite narrow, particularly on the sides, I think that would lead to cutting in.
It’s a shame that currently my best non-wired bra is a £10 one from a cheap sports shop, rather than from the big bust experts...
This bra could have been wonderful, but unfortunately it didn’t work on my body at all.

For years I have been hunting for a bra without wires that looks ok and I can watch TV in and sleep in. At last have found one that is comfy and looks nice.

I love the soft fabric layers, which are thick enough to feel secure, without being too bulky or over-firm. The wrap over style allows for slight difference in boob sizes. However, the straps need to be slightly wider on top of the shoulder, and please move that seam from there! Also, the sewn join of the side seams and front band is quite uncomfortable. I will be keeping this as it's the closest lounge bra to a JJ cup, and beats my other two.

I have always worn a wired bra and was dubious about changing. This bralette is very comfortable, although it fits very well, I am not sure I could wear it to work as there isn’t a lot of support at the sides. I’m quite happy to wear it at home.
