Did you know we don't use tape measures at Bravissimo? Instead we fit by eye as knowing how a bra should look and feel is the best way to find your most comfortable fit - here's how…
How do you know if your bra fits right?
1
How should your band fit?
Most of the support comes from the underband. It should be horizontal around your body without riding up or digging in. We recommend fastening a new bra on its loosest hooks so that you can tighten it if it stretches over time.
2
Where should the underwire of a bra sit?
The underwires in your bra should sit flat on your ribcage (not your boob!) all the way round to your armpits. The wires between your boobs should lie flat against your chest without digging in, rubbing or poking out.
3
How should a bra cup fit?
Make sure your boobs are fully in the cups – a bit of a scoop, wiggle and jiggle usually does the trick! You should fill the cups without any bulging or wrinkling even in a lower-cut style and there should be a smooth line, with no ridge, where the top and the side of the fabric ends.

I just received this tankini . The style is very flattering. I like that the sides are adjustable and it seems to hold the girls up .Looking forward to wearing this when we finally get warmer weather. I ordered the fold over bottom and I would day it runs a little large .

I read all of the reviews here as I was considering ordering this tankini online but decided to take the advice of some reviewers and try it on first in the shop. I live in The Netherlands but happened to be visiting Newcastle for the day so dropped into the shop there. The first size I tried on fitted perfectly and it is so flattering. I consider myself short in the body but it is easily adjustable at the sides. The cup size may run a little small. I, definitely, recommend trying it on. For reference I am a bra size 30HH and a dress size 10/12. I ended up purchasing my usual cup size.

I had previously purchased the Amalfi tankini which I loved, but sadly it’s no longer available. I asked Bravissimo for something similar and they recommended this. I'm normally a 34h bra, and they suggested a 36hh as the Amalfi was a size up, too. This top was so big it could have been a dress. It was halfway down my thigh, and when ruched up it bagged so much. I think it would have fit me well 9 months pregnant. The pattern is nice though, would recommend trying this on in-store.
