Did you know we don't use tape measures at Bravissimo? Instead we fit by eye as knowing how a bra should look and feel is the best way to find your most comfortable fit - here's how…
How do you know if your bra fits right?
1
How should your band fit?
Most of the support comes from the underband. It should be horizontal around your body without riding up or digging in. We recommend fastening a new bra on its loosest hooks so that you can tighten it if it stretches over time.
2
Where should the underwire of a bra sit?
The underwires in your bra should sit flat on your ribcage (not your boob!) all the way round to your armpits. The wires between your boobs should lie flat against your chest without digging in, rubbing or poking out.
3
How should a bra cup fit?
Make sure your boobs are fully in the cups – a bit of a scoop, wiggle and jiggle usually does the trick! You should fill the cups without any bulging or wrinkling even in a lower-cut style and there should be a smooth line, with no ridge, where the top and the side of the fabric ends.

So nice to have a post-op bra in a sassy colour! More colours would be great! I agree with other reviewers in that wider straps would be even better. But this fits lovely and gives room under the armpit if you have had lymph nodes removed.

After a recent Maestomy and lymph node operation I have tried every bra on the market. They either rub on the scar under your arm or don’t have enough support for a prosthetic. Other companies do have more selection and choice but Bravissimo you have cracked the design! I love the V on the front the easy access pockets and the soft seams under the arms. All day comfort. Only 2 pieces of feedback, wider straps would provide more support on the shoulders and MORE colours, what about green?

I am post surgery for single mastectomy and lymph node removal for10 months. I am a 34G and have found all post surgery bras uncomfortable. This is very comfortable!!
Why it’s not 5 star…
I just want it in black. Yes the red is pretty but I don’t seem to be able to get a comfy post surgery bra in basic black. Perhaps bravissimo thought red would be empowering and bold - it is, but I want normal.
Also, whilst the cup for the prosthesis is nice, it is not particularly Secure when I’m trying to put the bra on. As I’ve had lymph node removal, I have to put my bra on in a certain way and quite often halfway through putting it on as I have to twist the bra round, the prosthesis falls out. However, the cup is comfortable.
I love that it has the clip on the back to make the straps secure however I have no chance of doing that up myself as my arm no longer bends that way.
Will definitely buy again if it comes out in black.

I bought this following a mastectomy to one side. It’s the only bra I’ve found that I really like so I bought more. It would be great if you did it in some more colours like navy/black or even brights please!

Thank you Bravissimo for doing some research and creating a great design - comfy and supportive. It's been really demoralizing finding that larger sized post surgery bra's have thick straps and come in beige or white (which doesn't mix well with my dodgy laundry skills) Love that you chose to launch it in red🙂 I'm sure it would suit anyone not wanting a wire.
