Did you know we don't use tape measures at Bravissimo? Instead we fit by eye as knowing how a bra should look and feel is the best way to find your most comfortable fit - here's how…
How do you know if your bra fits right?
1
How should your band fit?
Most of the support comes from the underband. It should be horizontal around your body without riding up or digging in. We recommend fastening a new bra on its loosest hooks so that you can tighten it if it stretches over time.
2
Where should the underwire of a bra sit?
The underwires in your bra should sit flat on your ribcage (not your boob!) all the way round to your armpits. The wires between your boobs should lie flat against your chest without digging in, rubbing or poking out.
3
How should a bra cup fit?
Make sure your boobs are fully in the cups – a bit of a scoop, wiggle and jiggle usually does the trick! You should fill the cups without any bulging or wrinkling even in a lower-cut style and there should be a smooth line, with no ridge, where the top and the side of the fabric ends.

Have started swimming regularly and this is a very comfortable swimsuit that provides perfect support. Makes me feel secure and confident. Needed to go down a back size for better fit.

I am so pleased to find a swimsuit that fits ….and is super for my purpose- hydro therapy exercises. Somehow, it is very pleasing to think it is made of recycled plastic bottles too. Learning how to fasten it has taken a few attempts, but once fastened it feels really secure.

This is the first swimsuit in many, many years that fits me as though it were actually made for my body. It took two tries to get the right size, but customer service is so helpful and knowledgable, and the return process was simple. I'm normally a dress size 6 with a 34DDD/E bust, but I had to go down in band size to a 30 and increase my cup size to a FF (!) to arrive at a suit that was neither baggy in the butt nor too tight in the shoulder straps/bust. I never would have figured this out on my own, but the result is a perfectly fitting and really beautiful suit that is comfortable and secure enough to swim laps in. I've only used it a few times, so I cannot comment on the fabric's durability in chlorinated water, but so far so good.

It's a lovely swimsuit, great shaping and it looks fantastic, but I just could not do up the clasp at the back! I struggled with it for at least 10mins and concluded that I couldn't be doing that each time I wanted a swim so regretfully had to return it.

The quality of fabric and stitching look good, and I love that it's made from recycled fabric. It would be an excellent bathing suit for someone with a different shape, but my chest is on the wide side and I found the front of the bathing suit to be a bit narrow. This was especially problematic as I moved my arms around and over my head. I also didn't love the way the seams were sewn to a point right at the nipple, although it does lend shape which some wearers might really like. I returned it. I do want to say, though, that this would probably be a great suit for some bodies!

I have been looking for incredibly long for a swimsuit in my size I could wear for training.
Having a bigger bust 38F (for the norm) and being a tall woman, I really struggle finding a one piece that actually looks like it was made for my body, especially one that I think looks nice as well. I’m happy to say that this one actually does. The cut in the top/back is beautiful, and the black tone is great. Sadly some details on the suit make it that it probably won’t be my go-to.
A lot of the reviews already mention that the body suit fits a lot of people way too big, with a lot of extra fabric in the middle part. I thought this wouldn’t be an issue for me since, being on the taller side with some hips, I often need to order “long fit” so it’s big enough for me. Wrong. This is just too loose for me. The thin, breathable material of speedos usually works because the fit is snug. Having extra fabric on this swimsuit makes the material feel cheap and unsupportive.
Now for the bust fit. The cups are true to size, however, they are not really what I was looking for in a sports swimsuit. The bust sits higher, and feels more like a balconette would than a sports bra. It’s not supportive enough and is definitely not aerodynamic, since the suit isn’t compressive at all in that area.
As a last detail, the bottom coverage is very full and not very flattering.
So, I will be wearing this suit on occasion but will still keep an eye out for a better fit.
