Did you know we don't use tape measures at Bravissimo? Instead we fit by eye as knowing how a bra should look and feel is the best way to find your most comfortable fit - here's how…
How do you know if your bra fits right?
1
How should your band fit?
Most of the support comes from the underband. It should be horizontal around your body without riding up or digging in. We recommend fastening a new bra on its loosest hooks so that you can tighten it if it stretches over time.
2
Where should the underwire of a bra sit?
The underwires in your bra should sit flat on your ribcage (not your boob!) all the way round to your armpits. The wires between your boobs should lie flat against your chest without digging in, rubbing or poking out.
3
How should a bra cup fit?
Make sure your boobs are fully in the cups – a bit of a scoop, wiggle and jiggle usually does the trick! You should fill the cups without any bulging or wrinkling even in a lower-cut style and there should be a smooth line, with no ridge, where the top and the side of the fabric ends.

This is a great sports bra! My boobs don’t move when in this as it comes up so high so really keeps them down! The only negative is that there is excess fabric because of the mesh over the top and therefore it doesn’t look great under tops which is how I prefer to wear it.

I tried my second size in this bra today - exchange from 28J to 30J - and I can confidently say that this bra is a terrible shape for my shape and size. I normally wear a 28HH in Bravissimo, and have a forward, full/round and close-together bust. There is no space in this bra for my upper bust, and the compression drags my full upper bust downwards in a weird slope. The apex of the cups are very low, for me on the underside of my bust. The straps are very long, and can't be tightened enough for the bra to be supportive for me. It's would have been good that the front of the bra is high if the straps could have been tightened. The cut at the armpits are too painfully high and cut into my arms. The band is very, very tight at the back, loose at the front. This 30J band is overall more like a 27-band. The 30J cup is more like a 28H in volume.
I think this bra might work if you have less volume or fuller-on-bottom bust shape, with shallow top bust.

I am normally a 28HH, and ordered 28J.
In 28J this bra has a very tight band with almost no stretch. The elastic band has stretch, but the bra fabric above the band has almost zero strech (compressing). The band on a 28J on outermost hook measures 22 inches/56 cm. That is TOO tight for me with zero strech, even though I'm a true 28 band. (A regular Bravissimo 28HH band measures 24 inches on outermost hooks). This will be a familiar issue for anyone buying ShockAbsorber sports bras.
I added some extenders to be able to close the band, and found that the 28J cup was closer to a 28GG on me. The placement of the side sling (excellent idea!) was great, but there was not enough cup volume. Will try to exchange for a 30J since I think the shape of this bra is great, but have doubts about cup volume.

Always wear Shock Absorber and look as if I've got a roll of fat rather than boobs. For years I've put up with this as it still meant I could participate in sports knowing my boobs were secure. So was over the moon when I tried the Venus sports bra. My boobs, both of them, were held securely in place no movement and a lovely shape as well. Will have to order another one. 36G

This was a very odd fit. It did stop bounce but by being really pinched tight from underarm-to-underarm at the front across the chest (not the boobs, just above on the chest). Boobs sat together like a monoboob underneath, almost as if the bra was trying to push them out the bottom of the bra, no lift. I’m confident I had the right size, went up a band which was the correct tightness and boobs fit in it ok. I’m very against a monoboob look, esp on sports bras as they get a bit too sweaty pushed together but perhaps other ppl don’t mind. I did love so much that it stopped the bounce (there is a good idea in there somewhere, perhaps designers need to take another go at it!) but this was uncomfortable and would be an embarrassing look in public. I’m usually 32HH in bravissimo, tried on 34HH.

I love this sports bra as although it's unwired it really gives great support and confidence. It's not only a great style but also a very trendy colour.
