Did you know we don't use tape measures at Bravissimo? Instead we fit by eye as knowing how a bra should look and feel is the best way to find your most comfortable fit - here's how…
How do you know if your bra fits right?
1
How should your band fit?
Most of the support comes from the underband. It should be horizontal around your body without riding up or digging in. We recommend fastening a new bra on its loosest hooks so that you can tighten it if it stretches over time.
2
Where should the underwire of a bra sit?
The underwires in your bra should sit flat on your ribcage (not your boob!) all the way round to your armpits. The wires between your boobs should lie flat against your chest without digging in, rubbing or poking out.
3
How should a bra cup fit?
Make sure your boobs are fully in the cups – a bit of a scoop, wiggle and jiggle usually does the trick! You should fill the cups without any bulging or wrinkling even in a lower-cut style and there should be a smooth line, with no ridge, where the top and the side of the fabric ends.

I’ve bought several Panache Wired Sports bras over the years; great support and shape. I like the racer-back option too for extra support when needed.
Will definitely buy again in future.

I love the support this bra gives me & the fact that it gives a good shape. The fit is generally good but it does tend to gape a bit when I lean forwards. I’ve tightened the straps which helped a bit, not sure if getting a smaller cup size would help next time as I do seem to fill the cups while standing straight

I've order this one as I thought the ones I've got were a bit too big but they fine as this one was definitively too small...

I have been wearing these bras as my everyday bra for >10 years. I find it really comfortable and it looks good under t-shirts. The gel padding on the underwire makes a big difference to comfort.
I don't use it for sports as I find it too warm for that, but I never notice uncomfortable movement when I run down stairs or after buses etc. like I do when I'm wearing a regular (non-sports) bra, so I'd guess it would be suitable for at least low and medium impact sports if having thick moulded cups doesn't bother you.
The moulded cups are fairly unyielding and cover the entire breast, which suits me for an everyday bra, but I imagine it might not be ideal if your breasts are very different sizes or fluctuate a large amount over the month. I'd estimate that my breasts generally vary by just over half a cup size over the month, occasionally almost a full cup size, and I find it's fine unless I have a month when they change size more than usual. My breasts are maybe half a cup size different from each other and if I go looking then I can see that the fit is slightly different for each when wearing this bra, but it's still comfortable and doesn't bother me.
They last really well if you only handwash them. I usually start machine washing them once they are a bit old and have been replaced with a new one/demoted to "house bra" status, and they deteriorate noticeably faster after that.
I can't be certain about relative cup sizing as I have mainly been wearing this bra for years - I occasionally require a cup size higher in other bras (usually sports bras I actually wear for sports or bras for occasionwear), but usually the bra size I wear for this bra is a good guide for other bras. My underbust is 29 inches and a 30 back size fits me well. For a time my underbust was just under 28 inches and at that time a 28 back size fit well, but once my underbust measurement was back over 28.5 inches it started to feel too tight, so would not recommend sizing down in the back.
