Recruitment Privacy Policy

When you apply for a role with us, or send us your CV, you are providing different types of personal information that we will use throughout the recruitment process.

This policy is to provide more information about what personal information we collect during the recruitment process, and how we store and handle that data and keep it safe. Please refer to our Privacy Notice for more information on how we protect our customers’ personal information.

For the purpose of the Data Protection Act 1998, this policy refers to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Bravissimo Ltd is the data controller of the personal information we hold about you.

What personal data do we collect during recruitment?

  1. Name

  2. Contact details (telephone number(s), email, address)

  3. CV, cover letter and/or application form

  4. Any other information you provide us during the recruitment process and interview(s)

How and why do we use this information?

We will use the personal information we collect about you to:

  • Keep in touch with you during the recruitment process

  • Assess your suitability for the role

  • Complete background and reference checks, where applicable

  • Keep records related to our hiring processes

  • Keep you informed of other positions that may be of interest to you, should you apply to us speculatively, or if we don’t feel you are suitable for the role you have applied for. We will ask you if you are happy for us to keep your information in these circumstances.

How we protect your personal data
We will not share your information with any third parties, it will be kept securely and only shared with our people and culture team and hiring managers.

How long do we keep this for?
If you aren’t successful in your application we will keep your information on file in case any further opportunity becomes available. We will also use this information to analyse data to help us to continue to improve our recruitment processes.

We will remind you of this when we write to you about your application, and you will of course have the option to ask us to delete your personal information, if you prefer.
If you are successful and join us at Bravissimo we will keep your information until 6.5 years after your leave date.

What are my rights?
An overview of your different rights:

Whenever you have given us your consent to use your personal data, you have the right to change your mind at any time and withdraw that consent.

In cases where we are processing your personal data on the basis of our legitimate interest, you can ask us to stop for reasons connected to your individual situation. We must then do so unless we believe we have a legitimate overriding reason to continue processing your personal data.

You have the right to request a copy of any information about you that Bravissimo holds at any time, and also to have that information corrected if it is inaccurate. If we choose not to action your request, we will explain to you the reasons for our refusal.

To protect the confidentiality of your information, we will ask you to verify your identity before proceeding with any request you make under this Privacy Notice. If you have authorised a third party to submit a request on your behalf, we will ask them to prove they have your permission to act.
